Friends of Moor Wood Ponds

As part of the Miner2Major project in Nottinghamshire I was asked to work with the Friends of Moor Pond Woods. They form a small group of volunteers who manage and look after the site. After a year of lockdowns throughout the Covid-19 pandemic it’s been very difficult for volunteers to keep working as a group and to recruit new members.

Filmed just before Christmas 2019 we worked with the group to create this short video to encourage people to get involved. We will be working with more groups in Nottinghamshire throughout 2021 to do a similar video.

It was lovely to be filming outdoors and meet this dedicated group of volunteers who are having a massive impact on preserving the historical site and the habitats and wildlife found there. I am also looking forward to filming at the site during spring to help create more new video content with the group and Historical Exhibition Records Nottinghamshire.
